There is no Tesla Optimus price. Not in the UK, not in the United States, not anywhere. That is the single most important fact on this page, because a remarkable amount of coverage presents a figure as though it were a price list.
What exists is a target. Elon Musk has said on multiple occasions that Tesla is aiming for a price in the region of 20,000 to 30,000 US dollars once Optimus reaches genuine mass production. He has been consistent about that range for several years, and equally consistent that it depends on manufacturing scale that does not yet exist. Industry analysts have estimated that at current low volumes each unit costs Tesla considerably more than that target to build, with figures of 50,000 to 100,000 dollars per unit commonly cited in coverage during 2026. Tesla has been converting manufacturing space at its Fremont factory in California for Optimus production, with reporting through 2026 indicating that production of the third-generation robot was expected to begin in the second half of the year and that Tesla intends much higher volumes, in the tens of thousands, during 2027.
